There is fear and then there is absolute terror. I think college football beyond the SEC is trembling right now.
Blocking the expansion of the playoff will not hurt the SEC -- it will hurt group of 5 conferences who now have practically no hope of making the playoff. Hurting those schools out of spite is just a massive jerk move, in my opinion.
12 teams is too many unless the get rid of the bowl games

There is a better than average chance that at the end of this season, 3 of the 4 playoff teams will be SEC, either presently or in the near future. I wonder how that will go down with this new confederation.
