Game Ball: Georgia safety Christopher Smith interception keys 10-3 win over Clemson
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Georgia senior safety Christopher Smith picked a great time for his first career interception on Saturday night.

UGA beat a good Clemson team with UGA missing at least 4 pass catchers, lost an offensive lineman, and a former all-acc defensive back. It should only get better.
I’m still fired up after that pick 6! That was awesome!
GO DAWGS!
In an earlier article remember he was quoted as saying that he could hit his receivers with his eyes closed. They were open most of the time tonight.😁
GO DAWGS, Smith was at the right!!!!!! place at the right time. Go DAWGS!!!
Comments on Saturday Down South (from the haters) saying neither Clemson nor UGA have a CFB playoff caliber O. I say we saw the 2 best defenses in CFB tonight against training camp O's in their 1st games. UGA started a 3* true freshman WR and a true freshman TE. UGA is a young team that will get better as the year progresses. Definitely need WR's and CB's to develop. Both defenses looked better than Alabama's D did against Miami.
Clemson brought a new "look" zone-type defense...forced JT to check down to the backs. UGA brought a second-to-none defense. UGA was shy at least four top receivers. Young team that will only improve! Chris Smith "stepped in" to seal the deal. I had my ubiquitous UGA heart pills handy..this was some game. What a win over a solidly coached #3 team. However, UGA dominated on defense..totally stunting Clemson's passing game, and erasing their run game altogether. How many times has Clemson ever been held to just 3 points? Awesome display of UGA power. Now....GO DAWGS!!!
