This is a favorable schedule given the projected losses from this year’s team. Opening with Oregon in Atlanta is like another home game. Missing the top teams in the West makes getting back to the SECCG much easier. Once again the East appears to be its consistently weak self with Florida being the most serious challenge. All in all the dawgs should have an excellent season.

It's annoying to be talking about next season already, but I will say that it's great to see Smart choosing games that are big programs.

    Look at others:

Bama's. They chose: Utah State, ULM and Austin Peay.

Clemson: Notre Dame is the only decent opponent (and they are kinda in the ACC anyway), then there's Furman (they have a football program??) and Louisiana Tech.

    Florida: Utah, USF, Eastern Washington

Good Teams should play good teams and teams that pick weak opponents should be penalized for that. Luckily, Georgia is almost always the highest rank 1 or 2 loss team in the rankings.

@kirkhilles the Oregon game is more like a home game. Bama does play Texas in Austin which might be a check on how far Texas has improved.

I looked at other SEC team schedules and Florida has a really weird one. In the first 7 weeks they play 6 home games….no joke. They then play 1 home game in the last 6 weeks. How crazy is that? Go Dawgs!
