From the FWIW department, North Carolina beat writers describing Searels tenure there as "a disappointment," although they acknowledge that he may fare better with Monken's offense. They say that although his lines did well in run blocking, they were absolutely atrocious in pass protection. Like I always say, time will tell. Go Dawgs!

It seems his offensive lines were always on the small side while at Georgia. That may be just different philosophies between Richt and Smart. Also, for the number of years he’s been coaching, the number of players he’s put into the league isn’t, especially in the early rounds, all that impressive.

Got to trust Kirby on this one! Searles will certainly have the opportunity to recruit more blue chippers to Georgia than he could to Miami or NC.

Welcome back, Coach Searles! Always had a great relationship with Coach Bobo! Looking forward to great things where UGA puts a greater emphasis on line play and recruitment than during his last tenure here.

    Go Dawgs!

THe Tarheels have had 3 -1,000 yard rushers in the past 3 seasons. You have to have good blocking to achieve those numbers, I don't care how good your backs are. Of course that said their competition isn't as stiff as the SEC. Hoping for the best.

Just wanted to wish Coach Searels a quick recovery from pneumonia! That disease is no joke!
