Alabama football clearly motivated by National Championship loss to Georgia
Alabama's Bryce Young and Will Anderson shared their thoughts on the loss last season to Georgia.

Yeh, and if the refs had called Stetson's pass(I mean fumble), an IP it wouldn't have even been as close as it was. I would love to hear the refs take on how a ball that isn't touched by the defender gets ahum "fumbled" forward vertically and laterally some 10 yards without the aide of the QB's arm moving forward. THat would be miraculous, wouldn't it? The ball just propelled itself!
Ya gotta love how the Bama players point to 1 or 2 plays that affected the outcome of the NC game. Where were those guys several years ago when we blocked a Bama punt that would have iced the NC game for UGA….only to have the officials say we were offsides. Of course, slow motion replays from every angle showed that call was hideously wrong. Oh well, it is what it is (whatever that means). Go Dawgs!!!
I've responded to this point a couple times before, and suppose I will again. Yes, the scenario you describe (minus the miracle) is possible, and does happen. I've seen it myself, it's not terribly uncommon. As the quarterback is pulling his arm up to make the throw, he's hit. If the hit lands just the right way at just the right time, the ball sort of floats there for a tiny fraction of a second. As the quarterback's arm completes the motion, his hand swats the ball forward. At first glance, watching it in real time, it looks like an awkwardly thrown pass. But with slow motion replay it becomes clear that the quarterback's hand was empty and knocked the ball forward. I'm not saying that's definitely what happened to Bennett (it's a little fuzzy to me), just that I don't see the fact that the ball traveled the way it did as incontrovertible proof that it wasn't a fumble.
Don't get me wrong, now, I do share your frustration with the ultimate call to give Bama the ball. I just think people are missing the bigger issue in focusing on whether it was a fumble. A couple months ago I closely rewatched the play. From the two angles from which they showed the footage of the "recovery" one can see that the defender's toe was touching the sideline by the time he brought the ball in. It just surprises me that everyone focuses on whether it was a fumble, as I think the decision on the recovery aspect is a much clearer example of a blown call.
Oh well, the point remains that Bama needed help from the refs to avoid being completely shut out of the endzone in the championship game.
Does anyone think we’re less motivated because we won???
“The reason I chose Alabama and the reason I’m happy I’m here is because all you have to do is focus on the team....."
just wondering.....so they don't have to focus on classes at Bama?
