Kenny McIntosh ready to help restore Georgia to ‘RBU’ after earning lead role in backfield
ATHENS —Georgia tailback Kenny McIntosh has waited his turn, and Dell McGee suggested that his patience is about to pay off.

Kenny Mac is going to pick up where Cook left off.....he will rack up some stats I am certain of that. Coach McGee has him at #1 UGA back....well deserved. He is very versatile....great hands...runs routes and blitz pick-ups on 3rd down...McGee. I really want this youngster to succeed.
Sure hope he has a monster year. Came into the program 4 years ago as a very accomplished but relatively unheralded RB, buried at #5 behind Swift, White, Cook and Herrien. Great example of commitment, hard work and perseverance, which are sorely lacking in this entitled, instant gratification world we now live in. Go Dawgs!
OK I’m gonna make a some what bold prediction. IF Kenny Mac gets at least the same # of carries and IF he avoids injuries he will Surpass James Cook’s stats. And I mean absolutely zero disrespect to Cook. James Cook was an Awesome RB !! But I just believe that KMac is gonna finish his time at UGA even better !! We shall see…….. Go Kenny !! Go Dawgs !!
I must say to be presently surprised that no one is trashing liberal ESPN (granted they are liberal) for being biased at UGA for not listing them as an RBU. But it fits. In the past 25 years these are UGA's #1 draft picks:
Robert Edwards (1998)
Knowshon Moreno (2009)
Todd Gurley (2015)
Sony Michel (2018)
That is through 4 coaches (Ray Goff, Jim Donnan, Mark Richt, Kirby Smart). Yes you can argue that Nick Chubb and D'Andre Swift should have been drafted higher but that doesn't change much. Neither does the "NFL results shouldn't matter" because tons of schools have produced RBs during this time that put up huge college numbers but didn't do much in the NFL (explains Wisconsin and Oklahoma on the list; truthfully Ohio State and Auburn could be also).
Looking at UGA's recent draft history, a case can be made for their being "LB U", especially since a lot of their guys who played edge in college played OLB in the NFL. Perhaps a lot of the guys who played RB for UGA in the past are playing LB now? I am certain that had Herschel Walker and Garrison Hearst played in this era they would be OLBs on Kirby Smart's defense.
I Got one phrase for your post...."Bologna Crap" (BS). LOL
I played in Herschel's era and I can tell you, that Erk Russell converted many RBs/WRs to DBs in the '60's, '70's & '80's. One was a former teammate of mine, Steve Kelly. That's how UGAs defense got the "Junkyard Dawgs" moniker. There's no way in hell's bathroom, Herschel or Garrison would've been moved to the defensive side of the ball. That would've been malpractice.
Try again, "Gator Tide". LOL
