T he bane of UGA...injuries right before the big opening game. Happens every season. Now Jackson, although it sounds from Kirby that he will be ready to go against the Ducks. Probably not 100 percent.
McConkey on kickoff/punt returns sounds interesting. He's got some speed, and his highlights show that he has moves. Definitely could be worth seeing. As much as we'd like to, can't have McIntosh returning kicks and punts, then ask him to hop directly into a drive right after. Not fair to him.
Injuries are part of the sport, but man, Georgia has certainly had more than it's fair share. Thank God we are not playing at Tennessee this year with that pathetic field of theirs! GO DAWGS!
Although he didn't break any big ones last year, it sure is nice having Kearis' good judgment and steady hands in that catching punts and kickoffs.
Two straight years with WR injuries impacting special teams at the start of the season. It underscores how important depth is at that position.
Hopefully, we'll be returning a lot more punts that kickoffs again this year!
