I'd switch Clemson and Tennessee. Also, if I were Monken I would be working opening and first half drills. Other teams seem to get off well, why not UGA? I was scratching my head at end of first half again. Another tentative start against a team they definitely had the measure of. Stetson mentioned something about being compressed and not having fun...or trying to be perfect. I would hope UGA could amass 35 pts by the half against Vandy...now that is having fun.

Please don’t take this as sarcasm or disrespect because it’s neither. And I do enjoy and respect your comments as a whole. But remember you stated on a couple of threads that you didn’t think the Dawgs would cover the predicted 30 point spread ?? Well at that time I wasn’t about to argue with you as I was afraid you were Right Lol !! But we need to remember the age old adage “It ain’t how you start it’s how you finish”. So far Mizzou has been the worse game the Dawgs have played in terms of being in danger of Losing the game. And even though Very Late the Dawgs came roaring back to seal the deal and steal the W from Mizzou. Now I completely and totally Get that weak and tepid starts Could get our Dawgs beat when playing better teams like TN, Miss St., maybe even the Mud Lizards. But even if the Dawgs start off slow in Those games as long as they End the game with a W isn’t that the most important stat ?? I don’t like the slow and poor starts at all I assure you. And they very much frustrate me even make me angry. But realistically as long as the Dawgs keep posting the W’s in the end they Will be in the playoffs and no one will care much about the regular season stats. Those will only be brought up by and large if the Dawgs Lose in post season, then Yeah sports writers and analysts will throw them up in Kirby and the Dawgs faces. NOT You but we have a segment of Dawgs fans that seem about ready to give up on our Dawgs with them sitting at 6-0 at this point !! Maybe and Hopefully they can and will pick up the pace after Vandy and the Bye week(s). Would be great to see them decimate the Mud Lizards early in the game, middle of the game, and end of the game !! Wish You and Family a Great Season !! Go Dawgs !!

We all enter our opinions and often change them navydog. I have been at this for some time and have been known to use different imput filters from time to time. Of course it is the finsh....but a better start might prove beneficial against much stronger competition down the road, thus possibly assuring a better finish! Not sure why you used so much story line to rebut my rather innocent comment? Oh well, have a great day and we both love the Dawgs.

Right now, the Vols have got the best and most explosive offense of any team in the country. I'd probably rank them ahead of Michigan. And they are doing all this without key players that are out with injuries. Hooker is a beast that commands a fast tempo offense that most defenses cannot keep up with for 60 minutes. Unless we improve our execution on offense, TN could come away with a win in Athens.

The broadcast of the game had an interesting graphic. I didn't save the numbers, but last week UA's number one ranking was the result of fewer 1st place and third place votes. The red hephalumps had more 2nd place votes. It doesn't really mean anything at this point. I just thought it was interesting.

Lol trust me it wasn’t an attack on you or your comment. Just be glad I typed it, I Talk more than I type Lol !! Jerry Clower had nothing on me about being the Mouth Of The South !! I’m not very articulate even with the copious Volume of my comments. But I was really trying and hoping to Encourage you more so than rebut what you said. You and everyone that comments on the Fact that the Dawgs need much more faster and better starts are right. And the concerns that the teams that are much better than those we’ve played so far are very valid. I’m just saying that it really is the end of the game that matters. You and I talked quite a while back and I think your my senior in age ( I say that with Respect) I’ll be 66 in May, Good Lord willing. But I’m sure you’ve seen numerous times down through the years where it seemed our Dawgs were finished, on the ropes, game over. Only for them to come roaring back and get the W !! You could tell me if I’m wrong but it seems to me that through Most of the Mark Richt years and a good bit of KS tenure our Dawgs have been a second half team. If I’m wrong on that it’s OK. I learn. YOUR not a vocal fan of giving up on the Dawgs this early, so I’m not referring to you. But there’s quite a few that seem to think we’re Doomed and we haven’t even reached the Bye week !! All I’m saying to those Dawgs fans is it’s waaay to early to give up the ship. So to close this novel YES, very much YES, it would be Better to get off to a faster, better, earlier start. BUT even if they don’t woe be to the team that thinks the Dawgs are whipped and done for based on the first half. One game that for some reason jumped into my mind was the game vs Drew Brees and Purdue. Our Dawgs came back from the largest deficit in school history to win !! Not sure if that record still holds ?? Some will say well that was then and this is now. True, but the concept is still the same. NEVER give up, keep fighting and some times great things can happen !! Just consider this and my previous comment as notes of encouragement NOT sarcasm or attack !! Go Dawgs !!

All is well, navydawg....the W is what counts in the end. I am your senior, yes. I am a very young 80....I used to work with the UGA football team in the '60s as a contract photographer while attending the UGA J-School. Traveled with the team to various games. I knew the players and coaches...Dooley to some extent. Good to get to know you as well. I wish you well in life...God bless..and...GO DAWGS!!!

Thank you so much !! I sure Hope Coach Dooley is doing well and getting past the COVID. You’ve witnessed some Great Georgia moments in your time to be sure !! Like you and All the Dawgs faithful I’m hoping and cheering for a repeat Natty. But we all knew there would be allot of youth and transition on the team. It’s just that we’re all sort of shocked that it’s the Offense that seems to be struggling rather than the Defense. But I’m Hoping and Believing that the off time after Vandy is gonna be a big help to our Dawgs. God Bless & Protect You and your family to !! It’s Great to be an American and be able to watch our beloved Dawgs play on Saturdays !! Life is GOOD !! Go Dawgs !!
