Hopefully, that grit and toughness will be on display Saturday. Would love to see the dogs come out sharp and focused and play that way all game.
Once again, the season rests squarely on the shoulders of the defense. Disappointing! This was the year that elite QB play was going to elevate the offense to the same standard as the D.
@ShoottheHooch...agreed...gotta get more efficiency and effectiveness in the offense during the November gauntlet. Gotta get some injured guys like Carter back on defense, Mitchell, Smith, Milton back fully on offense. Even with grit and toughness, I don't think the defense can shoulder the load this season. The offense needs to find its rhythm consistently if we're going to make it to the Championship and playoffs. Red Zone TDs and high 3rd down efficiency.
One game at a time is the mentality it will take to go unbeaten in the regular season. Not sure we can get to the playoffs with a loss during the regular season unless we find a way to the SECCG and win that.
