Would not surprise me if one of the "anonymous" coaches was Lame Kissin. However, the strength of our schedule at this point does not indicate how "strong" we really are. We beat Oregon and beat them badly, the first game of the season. Meh. No one else that we have played actually has a stellar record. So, I can see why some are naysayers at this point. If we win out we will prove them wrong. Until now the Dawgs have been able to handle everyone they have faced. You can't ask them to do any more. Hopefully we will win out, one game at a time. Go DAWGS!
LOL, so??? They gave up 49 points to Bama.
I've been watching highlights of the UT games and I'm not quite as terrified as I was earlier in the week. Hooker is ABSOLUTELY a threat, but I certainly wouldn't qualify UT as a NFL-caliber team like some of Bama's previous years. They are 100% beatable. Both Bama and Florida had real chances to win and probably should've won. Both wound up beating themselves with costly fumbles and interceptions. Many (if not most) of the big plays had Receivers wide-open (like REALLY wide open) which meant it was a preparation issue vs skill issue.
Kentucky looked like crap and clearly was over-ranked. Yes, they beat Florida by 10, but they also lost to Carolina by 10. Yes, they beat Miss St by 10 but Bama just shut them out until very late in the game (presuming when backups were in). They "came within 3 points" of Ole Miss but they very well might be over-ranked as well with a lot of unimpressive (score wise at least) wins and a 25 point loss to LSU.
They scored a lot of points against UT Martin, but also gave up 24 points to them.
Early on, the 7 point win against (then) #17 Pitt was impressive... but now, not so much. Pitt lost to GA Tech... whose only other wins include Duke (by 3 points) and W Carolina. Pitt also lost to Louisville (by 14 points) and UNC (by 18 points).
The only (again, score wise) dominate performance was against LSU at 40-13, but even they haven't really proven themselves yet. They started off the year with a 1 point loss against Florida State and only beat Auburn by 4 points (we beat them by 32) and Florida by 10 points (we beat them by 22).
But, of course, all of this means little but I can see why we would be given the statistical betting edge. We absolutely need to play at our best and Bennett NEEDS to hit those big passes. We can't be punting.
Is this anonymous coach still coaching? If so, what does his team defense looks like? Where are they ranked defensively? And if he is not coaching...he probably didn't have good teams and that is why he is giving his opinion.
I want to know if this anonymous coach ever had a top 10 defense. Please post the stats of this anonymous coach defense to compare against Georgia defenses.
Well we shall see, we are a young team, but i think B Mac is going to fill the room with elite WR talent. that's what we have been always missing.
"Anonymous Coaches"??? Who the hell is he? He can say anything he wants based in fantasy or lie and not be vetted or held accountable for it.
That is what this Country's media has become. Gossip mongers. LOL. Reporters use those kind of sources to make unsubstantiated accusations or to inject the reporter's personal opinion while keeping his/her clean hands clean and on the levers of "information control".
Why does the media bother prefacing an absurd quote with the words, "unnamed source close to the scene", "if true", "an anonymous source reports", etc.? Useless information with no bearing on events at hand.
Why is it "Anonymous" always has a controversial opinion that is only based loosely in fact and covered in horse manure.
I believe these little stories are designed to induce commentary. Mission accomplished. LOL
Defense needs to stop Tennessee early in the game. UT has outscored opponents 293 to 81 in Q1 in Heupel's 2 seasons, with a first quarter scoring average of 13.95 points...that leads the country. Slowing them down on first down is key, because it usually causes them to take more time before the next play. They are averaging 2.9 plays per minute over the past 2 seasons.
Can our defense keep up and remain on task with little if any substitutions?
That may be the key to the ballgame.
I have learned not to listen to sports analysis and sports writers because everything they say is subjective. I would not bet on anything they say. Hopefully, Georgia plays Georgia football to make them all eat crow.
IMO...I believe you can leave all those statistics at the house,, when the Dawgs and VOLS meet Saturday.. Neither team has face a similar team on the other side of the field..
BAMA and LSU are the games that supposedly put TENN over the top to #1. But, Oregon is better than either of those teams, this year and The Dawgs stomped a mud hole in their chest on Sep 3rd. LOL
TENN and the rest of the College Football World will have a rude awaking Saturday. The pundits and talking heads have been WRONG about practically everything, this year, from Spring Practice assessment, to BAMA's strength and UGA's rebuilding. This is just one more thing and next Monday, you'll never know anybody picked TENN to beat UGA. LOL. Typical. (SMH)
I’m a Dawg fan first, an SEC fan second.
Regarding this particular game, UGA/UT, it’s who shows up this particular weekend. There’s talent on both teams. If UT wins, it’s Cinderella time for them.
But it’s always on “any given Sunday” for any team. I’m hoping it’s the Dawgs.
Go Dawgs!!!!
These Hillbillys thought they would win last year. Did you see the look on their faces when we left with a 3 touchdown lead in their house. It will not happen. DAWGS WIN GOING AWAY
AND, Beck will be in the game for Mop-up duty!!!!
I named my new dog puppy "RINGO" ,,,, GO DAWG'S
The “coach” said what he said. Conner wasn’t talking about the reporter’s take on it, just putting it out there that this thing did get written.
