Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

ATHENS — Georgia was a tough choice at No. 1 after a spotty performance in Florida, but there were no second thoughts at the top of this week’s National Football Foundation Super 16 ballot.

Since the comment section glitch is in effect for Connor's article I'll post this here.
Is it possible that that was the best punt ever kicked, period? I'm sure there have been a few that were longer, and obviously there are plenty that have gone out of bounds at the 1. But has there ever been a punt that traveled more than 75 yards AND went out at the 1 yard line on its own AND happened in a game of that magnitude? It seems very unlikely.
Also, I noticed that Smart is calling for a takeover of Starkville. Yes, please do that. I'm sure the real Dawgs will be fine either way, but I'd like to see as many Georgia fans in that stadium as possible diluting that abomination they call an atmosphere, so I don't have to watch the game nearly muted.
I think dawgnation turns off comments immediately for Connor's articles, lol. But totally agree with everything about the punt. Thorson, with more consistency, could be another Camarda and hear his name called during the draft process.
I don't know how correct it is, but 1 of the tv announcers, maybe Gary Danielson? Said it was the 10th longest punt in UGA history.. The announcer was right. But, I'm with you, I don't remember a punt the past 50+ years as a fan that meant so much to a game. Nothing is perfect, but that punt was close as you can come. In my opinion, 1 of the top plays of the game..GoDAWGS!
Interesting. Thanks for the info.
LSU is the most improved team since the season began. I had them beating BAMA in their house. THeir QB is special. THey were more pysical than BAMA. BAMA's pass happy offense lacks a 1st rate WR like they're used to having. THey have IMO morphed into more of a finesse team that is offense driven. I like our balance right now between run and pass. Our defense is elite!
