ATHENS — Stetson Bennett couldn’t believe it. In Georgia’s 10th game of the 2022 season, Darnell Washington finally had his first touchdown. The junior tight end hauled in a Bennett pass on the opening play of the fourth quarter, somehow being missed by the entire Mississippi State defense.

Washington is an absolute beast, and it’s somewhat of a mystery why he hasn’t had more passes thrown his way. I would think he would be a primary target in the red zone. GO DAWGS
We've sort of moved from Bowers to the Big O now. Washington is a bigger Bowers is all....lolol
This guy amazes me and defines the title "DGD"! Watching how selflessly he plays, throwing monster blocks up and down the field and watching his excitement when someone else scores, is nothing short of amazing. I find myself every game hoping that he is targeted and hoping he gets a TD score or two. His play during the Miss State game was fun to watch as always, and yes, he scored a TD to put icing on the cake. I hope, as things heat up towards the playoffs, that he scores more and more. This guy needs to be rewarded mightily for all he has done for the team. I suspect that last off season, he had a decison to make as to whether to stay with the team or try to become the #1 TE somewhere else. I was so proud of him when he chose to stay with the dawgs this year. I hope he gets even more targets this week at Kentucky. We are fortunate to have this DGD on our team! GO DAWGS!
Darnell, sign a Contract with a jersey maker for a #0 jersey with "Darnell" on back. Everyone will want one!
You know honestly, I think if I was a defender and saw that Darnell train coming directly for me, I'd just step out of the way!
