The future of Georgia's defense does indeed look bright. Six of our top seven tacklers are freshmen or seniors, and many other freshmen -- Williams, Everette, Ingram-Dawkins, Alexander, Lightsey and Jones -- have flashed their own brilliance. Plus we have a stellar group of freshmen coming in next year.
It's true that we'll lose some major Carter, Ringo and both Smiths to the pros, but nothing like last year. Many high-performing juniors will stick around to raise the draft profiles, plus we we'll have one of our best incoming defensive classes joining the team in 2023.
