Random thoughts after re-watching the Vandy game
I was not able to watch the game on Saturday and just got a chance to watch the replay on YouTube. A couple thoughts.
It appeared, on TV, that Georgia fans weren't just a slight majority but overwhelmed the Vanderbilt fans there. Red was everywhere!
Lamont Gilyard is significantly better than what he's given credit for. One of my favorite plays so far this year was watching him, literally, Carry D'Andre Swift 5 to 7 yards after initial contact. In addition, I really enjoyed watching him make the calls at the line of scrimmage. He seems to be a true vocal leader on this team.
The announcers, specifically tuberville, were so much worse than what everybody is saying. I never want to hear the NASCAR reference ever again!
Considering the start time of the game, the lousy weather and the various injuries to starters as well as the suspension of Patrick, the defense was not nearly as bad as it sounded like they were on the radio.
The push that the offensive line gave the running backs was just a thing of beauty!
More to come .....
