Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Brock Bowers didn’t need Mackey Award to validate his impact for Georgia football
Al Pacino didn’t win his first Oscar for his role as Michael Corleone in The Godfather. Martin Scorsese finally won Best Picture for The Departed, and not Goodfellas. Michael Mann’s Heat didn’t get nominated for a single Academy Award.

Redemption from last year's total snub. In 2021, the Committee must have been watching The Scent of a Woman where protagonist Al Pacino was BLIND. LOLOL Bowers does not need my accolade, he is the proven nation's top TE....congratulations!
Bowers had higher yards per catch, yards per touch, yards per play, total yards and the same number of TD’s as Mayer… against SEC competition. The guy with the better stats won the award. Don’t tell me about Mayer’s blocking ability or PFF numbers. You would expect players on a team with ND’s talent level to show out and put up big numbers especially against a schedule that includes Marshall, Cal, UNC, BYU, Stanford, UNLV, Cuse, Navy and BC. You have to play more than 3 opponents a year to qualify for national awards; the Mackey Voters agreed.
Bowers didn't need the Mackey award, the Mackey award needed him! Go Dawgs!
