Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

@DJG76 and the others knocking this ... look at the NFL draft results. No Kirby Smart recruit has been a #1 pick. And no, Kenny McIntosh won't be the first unless he has an absolutely historic run in the playoffs. Someone below said that UGA's rotation "allows for less wear and tear" ... folks have been claiming that for years but none of you can point out a single situation where the "less carries in college means longer NFL career" actually works out in reality. Instead the vast majority of the RBs drafted after the first 2 rounds are out of the NFL after a few years of making the minimum salary regardless of how they were used in college.
Unlike the other positions, an RB has only two shots at a big contract: his initial rookie deal and his second deal IF he puts up big numbers during his rookie deal without getting hurt. And the problem with fulfilling the first condition - big numbers during a rookie deal - is that usually if you come into the NFL as a 3rd round or later pick, you start out backing up a veteran who already has a big deal. That is what is going on with Zamir White. He is backing up Josh Jacobs, first round pick, and only gets a few carries a game.
All of the top 100 RB recruits currently at UGA came to be the next Chubb, Michel and Swift. Nobody came to be a rotation guy. If UGA sticks with their current offense, don't expect many blue chip RB recruits. In other words, the same issues that UGA has in landing top 100 WRs will spread to the RBs.
The narrative on Bama is they have slipped. If Georgia keeps winning the SEC , then that narrative will stick and the perception that goes with being at Bama will change. I could have done without the long article on a guy that does not want to attend UGA. If he is so sure why the home visits and attendance at UGA games. Seems to be he likes the attention.
@deputydog....I don't think that narrative will stick around long.
The 247 recruiting rankings for 2023 just notched another 5-star for Bama today from somewhere. They are now up to (3) 5-stars and (20) 4-star recruits and increasing their lead over the Dawgs and the rest of the college football universe.
Like everyone else, don't understand it and hate it for his dad, but lets move on to the players who want to be Dawgs.
Hey, that kid earned the right to choose his on path, do what you want to do young brother its your life. With that being said GO Dawgs!
Says he enjoying the process. In other words he wants his ego stroked until he signs on the dotted line. I wish we would just stop with him and wish him well
Georgia is adding Wilson and many more 4-5 stars and will match Bama and end up 1 and/or 2 in recruiting. Where have you been regarding the fact that Alabama has slipped this year. Pathetic Saban goes on TV and begs that his sub-par team get put into the playoffs. Kirby would never grovel like Saban did and if you are all about Bama- Don't let the door hit you in the as* on your way out.
