I certainly hope Buster is available because it sounds like he’s a very important mediator between Monken and Bennett….if mediator is the correct word. Go Dawgs!!!

“Faulkner has already gone to work recruiting for the Yellow Jackets”….

If true, should make the decision easier.

As far as why kids opt out of bowl games, I don't believe it's because they just want to spend more time "sleeping in their beds" back home, that seems pretty lame to me, when all they have been doing is sacrificing and punishing their bodies for the team.

I think a better explanation is most want to play but are being discouraged from over protective parents/grandparents and agent types who scare the with the "what if scenarios son or grandson" , think of your future, think of us, if you get hurt then you want get paid language. This is your/our ticket out. "Be smart!"

Bennett seems to depend on Buster...says he keeps him sane. Let's hope Bennett remains "sane" if Buster is in Atlanta but at a different venue..Tech...on Dec. 31. This game is bigger than Buster Faulkner.

I'm wondering what was so "cryptic" about Smart's answer. Seemed pretty straightforward to me: He's not absolutely essential to practice and they're figuring out just what his role is, in consultation with Buster and his new boss, Brent Key. What's so cryptic?
