Wish him the best in football and life. With the only exception being if Dawgs ever play AZ.

Dang, what the heck? If Arizona was his choice - why not wait until the first of the year to announce and collect another natty ring with Georgia? I mean, he has ZERO chance at a natty with his new team. #whateverdude.

    1. Norton already has a ring from last year. More on this later.
    2. The national championship game is January 9. Classes start for Arizona on January 11. So it is in Norton's interest to leave now.
    3. Early signing day is tomorrow. So it is in UGA's interests for him to leave now.
    4. As I have stated in a previous comment, players don't value rings as much as fans think that they do (or should). You would be amazed at the percentage of players who sell their rings to memorabilia collectors, and no it usually isn't hard-luck cases to keep the lights on. Another indicator: blue chips don't exactly make a beeline to programs just because they win a national title and appear to be on the verge of winning another. Winning the 2019 title didn't do squat for LSU. Clemson benefited some from winning the 2016 and 2018 title, but only because they weren't landing top 10 classes before those years ... just blue chip players at certain positions (QB, WR, DL) with 3 stars everywhere else. And UGA fans are now seeing that no "national title recruiting bump" is forthcoming. College athletes value playing time - and the shot at the NFL that comes with it - over rings. Granted, it hasn't always been that way but it is now. The reasons for it are another story for another day.

I'm sure his new coach wants to know that he can count on him towards his new class and the way you do that is by comitting early. Not up to date on the mechanics of it all but wish him the best.
