It’s no secert at this point that the outside linebacker room is not up to past standards. The season-ending injury to Nolan Smith has put the position group in a real bind, with most of the snaps going to Robert Beal and Chaz Chambliss.

“When we’ve been at our best, we’ve had a lot of speed and athleticism in that room, and we’re trying to get back to it,”
They seem to always have impressive speed on the defensive side of the ball. Speed and tackling technique are two of the things that really set them apart. Nolan Smith epitomizes both of those attributes, and that loss has been difficult if not impossible to replace.
It sounds like CKS and company have continued to pursue speed and size for the linebacker room and are having great success. This spells trouble for UGA opponents for the next several years, and more sleepless nights for their Offensive Coordinators.
GO DAWGS!
The caption below the picture reads: "5-star EDGE Sam M'Pemba says he is down to four schools. Georiga, LSU, Miami and Tennessee. He's one of the top remaining targets for the 'Dawgs in the 2023 class." We all know that M'Pemba has already signed. Old picture, old caption. And Georgia is misspelled.
I still think Mykel Williams can take some snaps at OLB. He and MJ Jr need to grow up fast and be a factor vs OSU. Need a passrush. Just re-watched the 1st half of the SECCG. LSU put up 160 yds of O in the 1st Q. Could have easily been 14-0 LSU.
LSU just basically said to heck with running it we’re just going to throw it all over the yard. And it worked even with their backup QB which was somewhat disturbing to me I expected a drop off but there wasn’t much if any . I would imagine Ohio st going to do the same blueprint. So yeh we need a good pass rush!
