I thought McConkey just had some tendinitis in his knee. Now, I'm thinking he's done for the year and is gonna need off-season surgery. Just seems like they weren't at practice so that reporters don't see them in street clothes, AND so they'll write the obligatory qualifier, something along the lines of "just because the players weren't seen at practice doesn't mean they didn't come out in the portion of the practice not viewed by the media." That's always a cop out. Their injuries occurred on Dec. 3 and if they aren't ready by now, hard to believe they're going to suddenly be healed in the next 3 days!
