    DWashington is not contemplating coming back to CFB. When he arrived at UGA he already had a girlfriend and a child. 2nd rd money is enough to support a family. Come back and risk another injury? He is gone.

    Good young man who worked hard, got a degree and just happens to be stuck in the middle of the best TE room in history. Best of luck where ever you land and alright Duce Robinson!!! There is space in our TE room now.

    @WoodstockDawg

    Recency bias. The best TE room in history was Miami in the early 2000s which had Bubba Franks, Jeremy Shockey and Kellen Winslow II, all of whom went on to become NFL Pro Bowlers. And at WR they had Santana Moss (same), Andre Johnson (same) and Reggie Wayne (NFL Hall of Famer). At RB: Frank Gore, Clinton Portis and Willis McGahee. And those were merely the guys who were 1st round picks and not the guys who went in the later rounds because they couldn't get playing time and still had 7-8 year NFL careers like Najeh Davenport, Sinorice Moss and James Jackson. And yes, they were just as loaded on defense.

    To this day, it still boggles the mind how that massive collection of talent only won 1 national title. And this was with their playing in the Big East, no conference title game and no playoff in those days. Then again Lloyd Carr at Michigan, Pete Carroll at USC, John Cooper at Ohio State and Mack Brown at North Carolina AND Texas burned through a bunch of talent with only 3 titles between them too.

    I agree with you that they were extremely talented and had an even better pro career (NFL career bias), but what they accomplished and produced in college was not as great as what our room has done.

    They also did not play on the same team

    Franks 96-99

    Shockey 01-02

    Winslow 01-03

    What our room has done collectively has been significantly greater in college. Those Miami teams played in a god awful Big East. As I said much of Darnell will not be in a statistical category, but Bowers has already surpassed all their careers as a sophmore on a team that spreads the love to more players.

    Yeah, this is another one that isn't surprising. I vaguely remember him joining the '19 class, but we haven't really seen anything from him. I'm sure he's gotten some great development, working in our TE room, but he's obviously getting crowded out. Good luck.
