The price of success. What you don't want is a program where no coaches or players ever leave because no one wants them.

These stories keep saying that UGA is awaiting a decision from Van Pran about the NFL. But, the deadline for entering one's name in the draft was Monday, with an additional 72 hours to withdraw one's name, if so desired. Technically, the list of NFL declarations is not public until after that 72-hour "reconsideration period" ends. But, someone always manages to find out beforehand, if the player doesn't announce it himself. Could it be, in Van Pran's case, that the DawgNation writers knows for a fact that he has secretly entered his name in the draft but he isn't completely sold on the idea and UGA officials have asked him (Van Pran) to keep quiet about it until the 72-hour period is over while they try to woo him back to the Red and Black? I know, it sounds far fetched. But now that we're two days past the NFL declaration deadline, that's the only reason I can come up with for the writers to still be writing that UGA is still awaiting an NFL decision from Van Pran. Go Dawgs!
