If you have ever sprinted.....4.28 is blistering in the 40 yd dash and 10.4 in the 100 meters ranks among the elite. RBU is back! Phillips will take UGA to anothere level in the backfield.

Actually, never. No disrespect to anyone's memory of our players, but Georgia has never had a RB run anywhere near a verified 4.28 in the 40. In fact, that would be tied for the 10th fastest at any position, and 3rd fastest as a RB if he ran it at the NFL combine (Chris Johnson was the fastest RB ever at a 4.24, and it was considered unheard of at the time). Champ Bailey's fastest was a 4.28. Darren McFadden ran a 4.26. Usain Bolt ran a 4.22. Deion Sanders ran a 4.21.
If the time is correct, he would be fastest Dawg RB of all time.
Knowshon ran a 4.55.

Maybe it was his quickness and shiftiness through the hole that I remembered and was equating that with straight line speed.

What I like from looking at his highlight reel is that he took many of those house calls right up the middle, between the tackles. No "popping outside" every run. Man ... a 4.28 coming right at you. Good luck with that :-)
