"And the benefit for Walker and Georgia is that he’s gifted and coachable enough to play both."

Walker is very capable of being productive at both of these positions. This gives UGA a tremendous advantage in having more options to get this guy on the field. I think the same recipe could help Sorey see more playing time as well. I'm a little concerned that he may start eyeing the TP after Spring training if any of the new guys at ILB pass him on the depth chart.

    GO DAWGS!

Very true. And finding playing time for all the talent at UGA is a challenge. History has shown that patience pays of with development that enables transition to the next level.

History has also shown that the UGA recruiting machine will recruit over players that don't step up, But you have to think that any time spent in the UGA program (iron sharpens iron) is time well spent as a CFB player.

As for JWalker, he is a football player. He is a nice chess piece to have to move around as needed. He can play ILB, OLB and ST's and get on the field a lot while giving other players rest. He will make a good pass rush option at OLB until a bigger player is developed. Good option for spot duty at OLB to pass rush while preparing to be a starter at UGA (and NFL player) at ILB.

Sorey has/can play the same role if he decides to stay.
