Former Georgia quarterback raves about Bulldogs 2023 receivers room
Jake Fromm knows what great receivers look like, having thrown to future NFL targets while going 36-7 as a three-year starting quarterback at Georgia.

In, out it will be raining footballs. McConkey is always open when he's not blocking looking forward to the 3-peat. Go Dawgz.😎
"McConkey’s speed stretches defenses vertically, and his quickness makes him dangerous in the open-field, able to gobble up yards after the catch."
He also seems to play above his size. He can go up and get it when he seems to be well covered, much like some of the bigger receivers. Marcus Rosemey-Jacksaint could have a monster season in 2023 if he stays healthy. Another year of rehab from that awful ankle injury should bring him closer to his potential. He really seems to be able to use his size as an advantage, and the 2023 version could very well be stronger and faster.
UGA has had great success with taller receivers. A.J. Green 6'4", George Pickens 6'4", Lawrence Cager 6'5", A.D. Mitchell 6'4", Brock Bowers 6'4". These guys were/are tall and fast, and were incredible weapons for the UGA offense. The current Dawgs receiver room doesn't quite have this kind of size (except for Bowers at 6'4" and Jacksaint at 6'2"), but they are incredibly fast and athletic which allows them to play slightly bigger as in the case of McConkey. It would be great to have a couple more 6'4" guys with blazing speed like George Pickens, but this Dawgs receiver room is stacked with talented athletes who know what it takes to become champions. I can't wait to see them burning up the secondary regardless of which of our super talented QB's are throwing it their way.
GO DAWGS!
This 2023 receiver room has a chance to be special. Should be the best of the Smart era. I can't wait to see them take the field.
With the potential of the defense being even better than the 2022 D, that gives this team a real chance to go all the way.
Perfect storm scenario brewing with most of the great 2022 defense returning with some new faces added who could shine early, like BIg Baby Hall, and the new edge rushers! THe triplets at LB should get lots of playing time in blowout wins as our offense adds more depth at receiver and we gain a prototypical QB with a big arm, and then we added a FR running back that will raise eyebrows with his size and speed and abiity to juke to boot. Teams will be shut down on offense and we should score buckets of points! Go DAWGS!
