The timing is interesting as right before the Spring Game and WAY too late to have eligibility to play elsewhere this year. I have to assume he was not going to be a starter. Either way, "so be it" - we will focus our attention for those DGDs that are willing to fight hard for us.

Several transfers to Nebraska of all places....good grief. Gotta be pretty hard up to want to play in Nebraska.

Transferring to the best team in the nation…makes sense. Transferring away from the best team…might make sense if you’re way down on the depth chart and never going to play much, if at all. Transferring away from the best team if you are in the regular defensive rotation…**** and shortsighted. Of course, I made some pretty dumb decisions when I was 19 years old, but they usually involved women.

He could’ve waited one day instead of it being all about him on G-Day. Pretty salty about that. With the way things are now with players making NIL money and the portal, I’m over the “just a kid” excuse.

As far as the transfers on the roster, they wanted to come to UGA, not leave it.

Wish the kid best of luck. We may see him again soon since it looks like it is going to be Texas (he is from Texas btw). If USC maybe we see them in the playoffs.

He would of have been a 2nd or 3rd rounder imo in 2 years. He certainly could of popped this year and been a 1st rounder in 2 years. Not sure but that NIL money must be big and Texas has it in spades.

Sounds like we have 7 solid interior d lineman. How many are starts I am not sure but Big Baby and Jarrett look the part if they can keep their weight in check. This is a tough one to swallow for sure.

    Next Man Up...

Exactly where I feel like he's headed. Can see why he skipped out on the sinking ship at a&m. But Texas has the money to recruit with the best, field results, remains to be seen. Feels like lead recruiter is AD Mitchell...

Bingo. This ultimately comes down to bad advice from people who should know better. Instead, those in his ear have selfish motives and are manipulating this young man. Hope he’s not the one who ultimately suffers.

Actually, it was our own DB Coach Fran Brown that steered our transfers to Nebraska.

He's very familiar with their new HC Matt Rhule, and he knows the type of players Rhule wants, and knew those players could blossom and produce in his system...

Personally, I think it speaks volumes about Coach Fran's character, and what a great mentor and leader he is. Such an excellent hire by Kirby, and pays dividends everyday!!
