    With Kelee's "measurables" it's telling that he hasn't been picked yet.

    @reddawg1

    UCLA's Zack Charbonnet went in the 2nd round. He had 1300 rushing yards and 300 receiving yards in 10 games. So no, a guy who does 830 rushing yards and 500 receiving yards in 15 games isn't going to go in the 2nd or 3rd. But if you want to look at why Justice Haynes - a UGA legacy - chose Alabama then this is why. Jahmyr Gibbs became yet another Alabama tailback to go in the 1st or 2nd round and get both a guaranteed roster spot and at least $3-$5 million in guaranteed money. The system that UGA was running under Monken only allowed RBs to be later round picks who only get a few hundred thousand in guaranteed money that have to fight for roster spots. I have been saying that all year, including while the season was still going on, that Monken's system harms the draft status of UGA RBs, which in turns harms RB recruiting.

    Texas has had both their tailbacks drafted. Roschon Johnson, Bijan Robinson's backup, would have had 700 yards last season if he played in the same # of games that McIntosh did. Bottom line: NFL teams don't care about national titles. They care about a combination of productivity and measurables. Mediocre productivity hurts draft status. Which is why now that Smart has his 2 titles in the bag, everyone should be glad that Mike Bobo is going to come in and implement an offense where the RBs, WRs etc. can put up the #s to be high draft picks. It is definitely possible to do this and still win national titles, and the fact that I even have to point that out is amazing.
