The Dawgs just could not sustain a SEC win streak. Again, we see Strickland probably blowing any chance of a playoff birth. I mean the Dawgs were excoriated by Mizzou. No pitching or hitting. They must almost win out to advance with a 13 win season much less a 14 or 15. Come on guys. I do admit UGA has had far too many injuries to key players.

Just watched our bullpen deliver another 9th inning collapse. Josh Brooks, it's time to earn your salary where Georgia Baseball is concerned. End this annual misery and find another skipper. Coach Perno was let go for far less.

What an embarrassment we've become! Totally inexcusable with the level of talent we have in this state. It's time we start taking our other major sports programs more seriously. It's time for a fresh, new start in baseball. Until then, why should the fans even care that we have a baseball team?

man, I remember the days of old playing at the cws frequently. Now we are first round exits in the sec tourney. Not from lack of talent, all from poor coaching.

UGA needs to lure David Perno back into college baseball coaching..the last good coach the DAWGS have had. Ron Polk was a good coach also, but he didn't stick around long. If I'm not mistaken, (please correct me if I'm wrong) I believe Perno may have been the last coach to take UGA to the CWS. Looked it up, it was Perno, 15 years ago in 2008..the last time UGA was in the CWS.

David Perno was a much better coach than Scott Stricklin, hands down.
