Len’Neth Whitehead transfer helps Georgia running back room but doesn’t answer biggest question
If there was one position where Georgia was thought to possibly add a player via the transfer portal coming out of spring practice, the thought was that it would be at running back.

To reduce possible injury and wear to starters, he could be a good 'pop-in' against lower-tier teams during blowouts. We should have plenty of those this year. If he shines, he could end up in the starting rotation, too. Any player transferring to UGA definitely has the desire and isn't afraid of competition.
We're going to be fine at running back. We are loaded and Edwards will get all the tough yards we need and our other backs will see plenty of big holes. The other teams better worry about stopping our passing game and getting some first downs when they have the ball.
All our RBs, except for Edwards are 220-240 pounds. Plus each of them runs hard.
With the best inside OL in the country running over them followed by one of those freight trains ... er, I mean, running backs ... opposing inside linebackers may just want to curl up in a little ball and cry uncle.
I agree. However, with this OL we should run the ball as we have some serious road graders this year. Any of our running backs should average 5 ypc this year. Any of them. I wouldn't be surprised if Milton and crew average 6-8 yards each.
No one is stopping us this year. No one.
I think he will transition to LB. We could use some depth there after losing some to the portal. He was a LB before moving to RB at Tennessee. He has the frame and speed for it as well
Whether at LB or RB it’s great to have an experienced player at UGA. And played in Athens in HS no less. Coaches will plug him in where he can be most useful, which will benefit him as well. Just another weapon on a loaded team !! Go Dawgs !!
