    Personally....I think we're playing fast and loose with the term "National Champion" in the '30's era. Especially considering "how" & "who", the "champion" was selected by. See below......

    "Once again, University of Illinois Professor Frank Dickinson's math system selected a Big Ten team as national champion, the undefeated Minnesota Golden Gophers"____Wikipedia on the 1934 College Football Season

    Alabama was also in the mix with 3 All Americans...selected by...??

    I don't believe anybody "Won" anything, at the time. Look who they played. Lol
