With 130 days until Georgia bulldogs basketball id figure i would show this its not a video but it is cool I got these a few weeks ago this is just one of them the 1997-98 Georgia bulldogs basketball media guide

These two pictures are the cover and the Page on the Georgia bulldogs radio network.

The 1997-98 Georgia bulldogs basketball team had somewhat high expectations after the 1996-97 season Tubby Smith lead Georgia to the NCAA tournament Georgia was upset by Chattanooga with Smith Leaving for Auburn Ron Jirsa would be Georgia's Next HC and the 97-98 season was to go

Georgia would start the season 8-3 with wins(most notable) over Texas(twice) Colorado and a last second win over East Carolina and with loses to West Virginia and a new other teams

All eyes we're on Stegeman Coliseum with Georgia took on Number 1 North Carolina and this game in 2023 has not been forgotten Georgia lead the entire game even up by 12 at one point they have gone to overtime.Georgia let North Carolina comeback with minute left Georgia was down until Jumaine Jones got a dunk and hit some free-throws North Carolina's Vince Carter hit a layup with 3.2 seconds left and Georgia called timeout.... In the win over East Carolina Georgia ran a play where Larry Brown would throw a full court inbound pass and let someone catch it and shoot it they would do the same...with Brown inbounding the ball one of the most controversial moments in Georgia basketball would await/Georgia bulldogs radio network transcript

Scott howard "well the same situation here Larry Brown will inbound the ball nobody is guarding him throws it down the length of the floor Jumaine gets it puts it up tries to bank it in....HE GOT FOULED HE GOT FOULED HE GETS THREE SHOTS HOLY SMOKES..."(later on) (Jeff Dantlzer There only giving 2 shots He feet is over the line the game is on national TV you can look at the replay...."

Jumaine Jones would go on to miss the free throws and North Carolina would escape Athens with a 82-80 victory The reason the reason it is so controversial is because many claim Jumaine should have had three free throws the reason this still stands out is because Georgia still has not beat a number 1 team ever....

Georgia would go on to go 21-14, 8-8 (SEC)

And would get invited to play in the NIT tournament

Where Georgia would beat Iowa,North Carolina state and Vanderbilt but lost to Penn state and Fresno state

A good solid year for first year head coach Ron Jirsa
