Jordan Davis song lyric

Currently in a discussion over a lyric in the song Next Thing You Know.

The mention of the daughter going to USC and it being too far. Cali people assume it's the usc out here. I think it's South Carolina seeing as all 4 songwriters are from the South. Davis is an LSU grad.

Thoughts?

    1. The NFL has really changed him. Unrecognizable.
    2. USC in California is what I get. Not only does he feel that it is too far, but I reckon that he doesn't want his daughter going out to California as it is gonna change his baby girl. Luckily my daughter doesn't want to go anywhere but Athens.
