Carson Beck named starting Georgia quarterback following second scrimmage
ATHENS — Georgia quarterback Carson Beck will be the team’s starting quarterback when the Bulldogs open the 2023 season against UT-Martin.

Thank goodness. Time to get on with the season and end all the speculation.
I like making a decision after this scrimmage. Excited to hear about scrimmage notes. Hopefully we will get good updates instead of vague generalities.
Two weeks to go; can't wait!
No surprise with Beck being named starter…hopefully BVG and Gunner remain engaged and ready to go!!!! All it takes is one play…
The obvious and most predictable has happened.....after years of patient and persistent work Carson is our Dawg. He will be outstanding! However, it is his to llose as we have two more highly gifted QB's in the wings who are biting at the bit to get their chance to prove their skill. I doubt that Carson will play many complete games, thus giving Brock and Gunner plenty of game snaps and at UGA, the practice goes on forever and the competition never ends...props to Robert Earl Keen!
Surprised Beck is named the starter already. I figured the competition would continue on into the season. Beck must have shown something definitive and put significant enough separation between him and Brock & Gunner. Good for Carson. Best of luck sir!
