    Just about perfectly done, Bill.

Lots of ifs to it, but we have plenty of reason to be hopeful.

To me, the Big If is the injuries in our running back room.

One if our huge advantages is our offense and our defense get to practice against each other. Our defense practices against an offense better than the offense of most (maybe all) teams they will play against in games. Our offense practices against a defense almost certainly better than the defenses they see in games. To a great degree this negates a few cupcakes on our early schedule.

I'm not at all sure our SEC opponents as a group are as soft or easy as some fans seem to think. We don't know yet.

    In Kirby I trust.

    Go, Dawgs!

Others expect Georgia to make it to the postseason undefeated, but aren’t sure about this team’s ability to go all the way without Stetson Bennett at quarterback.”

Isn’t it funny how, for the last two seasons, the prevailing thought, by a lot of “talking heads “ and fans alike, was that the Dawgs couldn’t win a National Championship with Stetson Bennett and yet, now that he’s gone, many believe that we can’t win one without him. Funny how things change…..

How special was that young man and the last two glorious seasons of football!?

    Go Dawgs!

I think Beck will be better than Bennett. He can see the field better and throws an accurate and beautiful ball. Plus the ball gets their fast and that allows the wide receivers to makes some football moves. With the guys we have Beck is going to light it up.

Forgot to mention Tyrion Ingram Dawkins, Christen Miller, Jonathan Jefferson as potential breakout players on the DL. At LB dont' sleep on Marvin Jones Jr. and Darris Smith. Freshman Damon Wilson Jr. and Justyn Rhett impress. We are loaded for Bear on defense. Good luck scoring 20 on us.

I expect special teams to be elite with so many talented players on the teams and the kickers look solid.

Breakout player is Mr. Mews. Lovett will be special for us this year.

We may not win it but I'd be surprised if we lost before the playoff. Possible but doubtful barring injuries.

Lotsa "ifs". The biggest "if" will be injuries. IF UGA does not lose more than a couple front line players UGA has as good (better than most/any w/that OL) a chance to win it all again this year. That will be the key. Hasn't happened in 87 years but, at the end of the day, it boils down to what happens this year.

IF UGA can stay healthy UGA should be the favorite. That being said many teams have cherry picked multiple good players out of the TP to reload/enhance their teams in '23.

With the injuries at RB and the nature of the position and the punishment they are subjected to, makes me wonder if CKS adjusts his recruiting philosophy. Instead of taking 2-3 extra, developmental OL every class does he take an extra RB? Remember when CKS added RB APaul at the 11th hr in the '22 class? AP could end up being the guy that saves this season. Hopefully, they don't rush AP back before the AU game.
