Georgia football instant observations from an imperfect win over UT-Martin
ATHENS — Football was back in Athens on Saturday. There was excitement and cheers and boos from a Georgia crowd that wanted a better performance.

Beck looked like a QB who was making his first start, but he got better as he went along. Not too bad considering all the inexperience in the rotation at RB and with missing McConkey, the best receiver. My only real disappointment was with the O-line run-blocking. Reminded me of the Mizzou game last year, but against a lesser team.
I have a feeling that practice is going to be somewhat tougher on the players this week. But new stars are emerging and there's another game to get better next Saturday before SC comes to town.
The Offensive Line has a lot of work to do. Maybe they were just "complacent", as Smart would say.
Really, really impressed with this Mews kid!
I thought Beck was nervous to begin with, but got more confidence as the game progressed. He will only get better and better.
same ole’ boring Bobo.
