While the end result is nothing to brag about, I did enjoy the second half 180. Not sure what was going on with the coverage in the secondary, and the kicking game obviously needs to improve, but all in all, they got their first test under their belt and lived to fight another day. It's looking like this might be a year when that might be what it takes to go the distance - see: Bama and FSU, this week alone.

I couldn't help but notice that there was never any panic. That goes for the crowd and the team. They were trailing at home against a big underdog, and guys were loose and joking around on the sideline. I'm sure some will have a problem with it (they need to take the game more seriously, or whatever), but I think that mentality will be invaluable down the stretch when they start playing better teams that will inevitably challenge them.

IMO...The 3 Wise Men...[Kirby, Mike & Will]...got exactly what they needed out of this game. Lot's of physicality. And, a challenge to Beck..."come from behind & win". Which he passed with flying colors.

Beck is gonna be a great QB. He has improved something in his toolbox every week...which tells me, we haven't come close to seeing his "ceiling", yet. He isn't necessarily, "better than Bennett"...but, different and equally as good at his game. Which means the Dawgs offense will be more conventional, this year.

I loved they way they set up that "slip-screen" and, worked the perimeter when they decided to open the playbook up, a little bit., with a few "different looks" and "personnel groupings". IMO...."We ain't seen nuthin' yet.". Lol
