In the second half, GA finally got SC backed up in the closed end of the stadium, or as I like to call it - The Dead Zone. That’s because it’s where other teams offenses go to die! If the Dawgs can get the opponent backed up inside the 20, in front of the student section and Red Coat Band, they won’t be able to hear themselves think. The crowd got SC to jump offsides, and the defense forced a punt from deep in the end zone. Carolina got lucky when the opening kickoff went out of bounds and they got the ball at the 35. They didn’t have to deal with the Dead Zone and thus were able to get off to a good start. They were not so lucky in the third quarter and it changed the game entirely.
