Georgia football-UAB instant observations as offense gets it in gear
ATHENS — There would be no slow start for the Georgia offense this time. The first play went for 33 yards. The opening drive ended in a touchdown, with Arian Smith scoring on a 12-yard screen pass from Carson Beck.

No defense against UAB. seriously
UGA has to put it together against a not so stellar Auburn team. 49 pts should beat Auburn as well. UGA defense has got to stop these long drives. I do believe UGA will beat Auburn...by how much....who knows? The defense has to step up their game. Never thought I 's say that about a UGA defense.
All I can say is these Dawgs just need to keep working hard in practice. I DO think that Kirby needs to chew on Some of the Coaches like O line and WRs. The O Line continues to be very inconsistent. And there’s a Reason that Arian Smith continues to drop balls right in his hands.Coach him up !! If he can’t or won’t be coached up, give a backup guy a shot !! I sure wish we could get Ladd, Mykel, Javon, and Kendall back and fully healthy !! Would be Allot of firepower right there !! Go Dawgs !!
Not sure you can put the 2 long misses on Beck. The pass to ASmith was well throw and misplayed by 11. You can't practice with 7 wrs and be in sync with all of them. He "overthrew " Meeks. But Meeks is probably the slowest UGA wr. Meeks should not have been in that position in the game when that play was called.
Watched several games today and my big take away.....if Trent Differ coached Ole Miss, they would have beaten Bama.....maybe Kirby should use Trent's team admonition for the remainder of our season....you're playing the #1 team in America, what do you want people to remember....what I remember is that UAB never gave up, they kept coming and they hung 21 points on us......when we go to JH to play Auburn next week.......Dawgs, what do you want people to remember about this game??? Did we win #5, did we get beat/out coached, did we squeak by, did we dominate defensively or offensively, did we leave it all on the field of play or did we just go through the motions....tonight I saw several individuals perform at an elite level.....next week we've got to get the WHOLE TEAM to an elite level so DAWG FANS will have something to remember rather than something to quickly forget!
So far this season UGA is not playing on par with the last two years. If the Dawgs are going to threepeat they need to get healthy and stop the mental mistakes both offensively and defensively. Go Dawgs!!!!
I fear this is the worst defense the Dogs have had in years. The Defensive line looks mediocre at best.
