Great article as usual Bill !! In my humble opinion there are Some coaches that need to ramp up Their performance as well as Some players. O line to start. And the D line.

And Why does Arian Smith continue to break coverage and get deep only to drop the ball ?? He needs coaching up. If it’s a matter of he Can’t or Won’t be coached up as much as I like the guy, bench him for a while and give a backup a chance.

I’m seeing lapses of Effort in different parts of the team at different times, not nearly All, but Some, and to often. Effort and Execution go hand in hand many times. So That concerns me most of all. And Allot of that falls on the unit or position Coach. Go Dawgs !!

WAtching Oregon's O-line against Colorado was a thing of beauty. THe running lanes they open is what I long for UGA to have. Not sure what the problem is but it's just night and day. I was watching that game and I was like"oh that's what a running lane looks like".

HAs ORegon recruited at a higher level at O-line than we have? Was UAB a more formidable opponent than a 3-0 Colorado team? I think not. THere were times in the Oregon game that the ORegon RB had his choice of wide open lanes to run in. Is it our scheme? THe coaching?

I wouldn't want to play ORegon tomorrow. Good thing we don't have to.

Well written synopsis of the game Bill, I love the way you speak to the facts concisely and accuately. I know two English teachers back at Athens High that would be proud...may they rest in peace.

Offense is looking pretty good (especially considering the injuries) with the exception of the questionable O-line. Sometimes they do well, other times not.

Defense is actually the biggest concern right now. Rush Defense is pretty solid, but pass D has been problematic. Just look at the final stats (granted some of it was with backups, but still):

: UAB succeeded 2 out of 4 times in 4th down

    : 20 1st Downs!

    : 336 Yards!

    : 250 yards passing

We also had 2 fumbles lost and more penalties than they did. We need to get things together quickly.

We have no more pay-to-win games. We have 3 straight SEC games followed by a rest week and then 4 straight SEC games against RANKED teams. We need to be shutting down those 1st downs.

Let it be said that Auburn's about to find out what we're made of...
