It's not about scheming , just striking blockers... Uh Oh. I hope that wasn't totally in context. If they don't have some new wrinkle to stop that running game, we will see the same problems we've had for the last 5 games.

I don't think they run the rpo but they do some similar stuff with pulling guards. They had some stuff on SEC today that showed how some of the running schemes are similar. So, yes and no.

2 ways to stop what they are doing is have someone from the interior DL blow up the play by pushing the middle in. The other thing that would help would be for the inside backer to be fast enough on the read to get over there (this has been an issue for Pops this year). Believe it or not we used to be really great and stopping the counter and the pass off the counter. A combination of things this year has brought us to this moment.

Another thing we could do is bring an extra man into the box via blitz or just positionally. A safety, etc. We may need to take some chances with our secondary and might even bring in an extra down linemen if they are too successful early on. This leaves us short on the backend and we may just have to take our chances with that.

I think there is truth to the striking your guy back and getting position to use your eyes and schuck or move one way or another. This has to be taught though because doing it in real time is a skill that usually takes time.

Can we do it? I think we will do better but I still see Kentucky gashing us. They have a really talented OL and rb wrs.

Should be a close game but I think we pull it out by wearing them down and we just plain outscore them and get more stops then they do. Turnovers will be the key.
