Bench A Smith. He simply cannot catch. I am trying my best to see UGA win out.......cannot. UGA simply cannot play like this every other game and win out. FL will be one of those games...they see a very vulnerable UGA.

Beck had nothing to do with the missed snap play. The replay showed that Van Pran lost his grip as he was trying to snap it.

Smith is only being used in unique spots, not a regular rotation receiver currently.

What might be I sure Hope good news about Brock B. !! Watching Brandon Adams show said XRays negative for anything broken, said Low ankle sprain which if you have to have an ankle sprain is Much better than a high ankle !! They will do MRI on him tomorrow to confirm. Milton took a hit on his MCL. They put him in a brace as a precaution and also took him out of the game. I don’t know what the situation is on Truss.

If you're familiar with my commenting history, you'll know that I don't say this casually or reflexively. It's time for us to drop in the polls, by more than a spot. I always try to keep things in perspective, holding them against the backdrop of the excellence that this program has come to represent. But I can't defend it anymore. You simply cannot play that badly against Vanderbilt on the same day that the two teams right behind you beat comparable opponents in huge blowouts, and expect to keep the number one ranking. Especially after the season they've had going into this game.

I expect that the pollsters and committee are going to conclude that all the good will Georgia has amassed over the last two years and with the Kentucky win has now been exhausted, and from now on they're going to have to go out there every week and earn it. But that might ultimately be a good thing. I mean, I don't know where to begin trying to explain such a ridiculously poor performance other than that it was the result of a complete and utter lack of focus (and a bizarre insistence on running an ineffective defensive scheme, but that's another discussion). It'll be interesting to see how they respond now that they (hopefully) know they can't take anything for granted. The Kentucky game does still provide a silver lining in that respect, and I'm still not ready to throw the season away.

You can't just assume that a team will play their next game the same way they played their last one. If it worked like that, we would have beaten Vanderbilt by 80.

Hopefully Bowers and Truss will recover quickly. If we were playing any of the remaining sec teams on our schedule, we would have lost with the way we played today.

When is Arian Smith going to catch a ball that hit him in the hands?

We played very conservative the 2nd half to limit attrition on injuries in the 2nd half. Hate to see the pick as it made the game tighter and the defense had just gotten a three and out. Great to see us put a fork in it afterwards with the ground game. Go Dawgs!

Tykee Smith made three huge plays after giving up the TD in the last drive before halftime. Stonewalled the run. Stonewalled the pass screen and then made the pick! Three consecutive plays!

Just glad we didn't bench him last year during the Ohio State game.

I keep waiting for the D to give me just a little more. To me I grade Beck a C today, He again missed a wide open touchdown. Those plays can set the tone for a game and he misses one every game.

Agreed. I don't know what's going on with him this year, but we know he's better than this. Here's hoping he figures it out soon.

Just a typical 12:00 Bulldog game. With all the fumbles, injuries overthrows, missed assignments, not too bad.

During the bye Shuman and Boom need to come up with some schemes to get pressure on the QB without blitzing. It been a problem all season.

We won is about all you can say about this one. I guessed a lot of predictable Bobo calls. KS must have failed to tell everyone he wanted to start quick.

2 concerns: In the list of coming games and potential upsets, no one is even mentioning UF.

the dawgs just keep getting away with little mistakes that against other teams would cost them.

What’s the deal with Arian Smith? I mean he’s dropping balls that are right in his hands. If he can’t catch a football, something that seems like a basic requirement to play as a receiver, how is he even allowed in the receiver room?

It is also concerning that our receivers don’t make the difficult catch often enough. That whole crew has got to step it up at least a notch. Heck, even McConkey, the best WR we have, dropped a pass right in his hands.

Finally, Bobo’s play calling was way too predictable today. Calling a trick play on first down that loses three yards and puts us in an obvious passing situation leading to an int. No reason to run a trick play in that situation. Either pass because they’re obviously expecting a run or run it straight ahead which had been successful most of the game. Just don’t understand what he’s thinking. It’s frustrating.
