Georgia QB Carson Beck shows ‘toughness and grit’ with Vanderbilt hit
ATHENS — Carson Beck provided insight into the fiery competitor that lies beneath his cool personality when he delivered a vicious shot on Vanderbilt’s C.J. Taylor last Saturday.

The potential is there. With the weather as it was at Vanderbilt, Beck's successes outway the several mistakes. I've said it before, Brock is the best man on and off the field! For now he will remain the later, and in a few weeks he will reestablish the former...but, let's be patient, not to soon.
Beck has a slough of good receivers, some on their way to great. Give'm the plays, Coach, and they will show all.
On one hand, Beck is really tough competitor, and that is great. I'm going to add though, on a day that resulted in several injuries, I'm really glad he didn't throw out his shoulder when he propelled into Taylor who was bracing for a "vicious shot." I was holding my breath a little bit after that play, and it wasn't because I was worried that Vandy would win the game.
Coach Kirby speaking on Beck...."{the hit} probably showed a little bit of his personality.”
Boy, tremendous view of what Coach Kirby thinks of Beck ! Love this insight!
Go Dawgs!
Me too! My first thought was “dislocated shoulder “……
When he came in the next possession…….must say that I got down on my knees and said ”Thank you”!!!!
That would have been a two-fer on the injury list that would have been insurmountable!
Go Dawgs! Love their toughness!
I think we all can agree that Carson redeemed himself for that infamous loafing job he had on his INT against UAB in 2020.
But lord mercy, I’ll settle for effort and grit somewhere in the middle.
He’s a ballplayer for sure.
I had forgotten about that. I love it when a qb rocks someone. I was surprised the team didn't get more fired up honestly? We need a firestarter on our defense...someone who gets things going and gets others going.
