Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

College football ‘silly season’ underway, phones will ring for current, former Georgia coaches
ATHENS — It could be an interesting day for former Georgia football assistants Dan Lanning and Sam Pittman, who are at opposite extremes.

Silly season: I'm glad Georgia has two coordinators in place who won't likely want to leave for any other job. Schumann will very likely leave the program sooner than later for a HC job, but Muschamp is at the ready, and Bobo is already in place and won't likely be looking either.
This is The - Golden age for Georgia football, and we UGA fans better soak it up because it won't last forever.
Well we may get to find out if Dan Lanning is a man of his word. He said before the beginning of the season that he wouldn't leave Oregon because it is so great for his family and their way of life. In fact, he waxed eloquent about it. So now, let's see if money trumps his family's way of life. Far be it from me to try and help the Aggies, but I'll be honest, his name wasn't mentioned here, but if A&M was smart, they would go and hire Eli Drinkwitz from Mizzou. For my money, that guy is the third-best coach in the SEC and can do anything Dan Lanning or Mike Norvell can do, and he'd do it for a lot less. Just sayin. Don't believe me, just ask Kirby Smart. Go Dawgs!
My first calls would be to proven head coaches
Kiffin, Lanning, Norvell, Day and wait for it Sarkisian (double whatever he is making at Texas)
Then the actual guys who might take the job
Drink, Fleck, Kelly, Stoops
After that you go for assistants
Schumann, Diaz
I think Texas A&M might offer those top guys up to 20 million a year on a 4 year deal. They are going to reset the Head Coach salary.
