The JUCO route is a result of choices. Yes, there are certainly some circumstances involved, but it’s a manifestation of multiple choices over the years. So don’t let anybody feel like these JUCO players have somehow been wronged. They’ve simply had to take a different path—for whatever reason. The good thing is that they will soak up every single spec of experience and will no doubt be the best version of themselves.

We are witnessing how Smart's recruiting adapts to his team's immediate, intermediate, and long term needs. Many NFL players have come from the JUCO route. If anybody can help shape these young men for that transition, it is the professionalism and passion of Kirby's cadre of coaches.

Very well stated !! If any HC and staff can take these JUCO players to the highest of levels it’s Kirby and staff. All these young men need do is look at the Dawgs in the NFL and take a look at their history. Though yes many of them were 4-5 star players out of HS there are quite a few that were 3 star players out of HS.

Just look at Ladd McConkey for example !! Man Oh Man, how Kirby and staff took that young man and his natural athletic abilities and polished him up like a fine Diamond !! Commit to the G !! Go Dawgs !!

JUCO transfers are more mature and proven at the CFB level. The down side is fewer years of eligibility and some possible bad habits developed. But will be more and more a part of UGA recruiting as HS players look to cash in on NIL before ever setting foot on campus. These 2 JC DL want the opportunity that UGA provides them regardless of any NIL "payments" to be received up front.

The normally very thorough Jeff Sentell left out some basic information about these 2 DL prospects. Hamlin is 6'5" 310 lb 4* #9 JUCO prospect (5.8) . Brien Taylor is 6'6" 270 lb 4* #4 JUCO prospect (5.8) according to Rivals.
