Keep him in the pocket with pressure. Play the run with more down lineman. Don't let him sit back and throw dimes. Something like Tennessee a year ago in Sanford stadium.

If Milroe and Beck both weigh 220 somebody has a bad set of scales

The edges will slow Milroe. Keep outside his lateral run range. ILBs plug the middle. Force him to check down. Watch the wheels. Most of all penetrate and sack him and cause yardage loss. Keep him off balance.

Auburn did a creditable job slowing him down and Bama's front line. Why can't a superior team such as Georgia do the same? Hyping Bama is to create undue fear of Saban. Kirby has beaten him...and will this Saturday. The media is creating something that is not there. It is always: Po lil Gawgia...no match for the big bad Bama wolf. Bolderdash! UGA will put their lights out 3rd and 4th qtrs. UGA is not Auburn....UGA is a winner.

I think this might be the toughest and biggest test for Kirby ever against Bama. Why? We're really banged up and bruised and have key players out. We're a different team than the last 2 years. Prior to Kirby, it used to be Bama would come in and blow us out after all the hype leading up to the game. A huge disappointment as a Dawg's fan but not really unexpected. Now Kirby has changed the narrative with his program. We haven't seen that kind of letdown with Kirby at all. And I certainly don't expect that this weekend.

BUT, if we don't get Bowers and McConkey back for Saturday then I'd give the slight edge to Bama. You just can't replace either of those guys, and we've seen less production from Beck without them in there along with some forced throws that could have been disastrous. Dillon Bell has been fantastic, and I hope we get speedster Arian Smith back involved more as we did against Tech.

Concerning Milroe, we've got freshman LBs starting right now due to injuries, and we haven't been able to contain the EDGE in multiple games this season. I expect Bama and Milroe to move the ball pretty well outside the Red Zone, but I'm hoping the Dawgs will keep them out of the end zone enough to pull off the win. Saban may even try to get different players more involved since he knows we will be laser-focused on Milroe. I feel sure Kirby will put a spy/rover on Milroe most of the game. But you can't just rush the guy and expect to tackle him. He can go right by you and on for a big gain. We've got to be smart about how we contain Milroe. We can't over-pursue him. We've just got to contain him as best we can while putting pressure on him. He had way too much time in the pocket against Auburn. My bet is we blitz more than usual in this game.

If we can just get through this game and manage to get to the playoffs, then we will have (4) weeks to get several important players healed and back for the semis. At that point I truly think a 3-peat will be highly possible.

Kirby is 0-3 against Bama in Mercedes-Benz...ready to break that streak.
