MIAMI, Fla. — Kirby Smart is all about efficiency, offensively and defensively on the field, and with his time allotment off of it.

It has been previously reported that Bowers and Mims weren't on the team plane.
Has it been officially announced that they won't play? Could they be receiving rehab in Athens with plans to arrive in Miami in time to play? (I'm merely asking these questions, and I don't know anything.)
Also, even if they aren't going to play why not have them (as injured team members) on the sidelines? These players are DGDs and not as far as I know estranged from the team.
Go, Dawgs!
I think they will be there…. Not sure in what capacity, but I don’t see them missing the game!
Mike doesn’t think Bowers will play, and he’s probably right, but I am still holding out that he at least will play, catch a pass or two, and get his “curtain call” with a win in his final game!
And why not!? He surely deserves it!
Go Dawgs!
Will not be shocked t all if Bowers plays, just think he is that kind of player/person.......which is very rare these days.
Totally Agree with the comments here about Bowers and Mims at least being at the game. That would be Awesome !! Even more so if they could play a few snaps !! They Are and Will Forever be DGDs !! Go Dawgs !!
Cool as a cucumber with this free agency crap, that Kirby. Now get those boys in Miami completely ready to destroy Florida State and show the playoff committee they made a huge mistake. Go Dawgs!
Kirby is handling the portal masterfully. It looks, on the surface, like there are too many leaving, but with this year's large and talented recruiting class, he knows he needs the room. Although he will not discuss such issues in public, you know behind the scenes he is honest with his players and let's them know where they stand. He is a players coach and as he has said if a player can get a chance to play somewhere else rather than play behind others at UGA, he is happy for them. Not every player can fit his team culture and he is out seeking those in the portal that seem to fit and only those that fill a need. I really hate the current transfer rules, but I am glad we have the best coach to navigate it.
Wonder how many players we have to lose via the portal before it becomes “a problem?” We’re at 20 and counting.
