Everything Glenn Schumann said about UGA defense, linebacker room ahead of Orange Bowl
FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla. — Georgia defensive coordinator Glenn Schumann had a lot to say about the Georgia defense when speaking to reporters ahead of the Orange Bowl.

A lot to digest there. Two take aways for me. One, I think he is comfortable with the young inside backers, and not to upset about JDJ leaving for greener pastures. I do remember Kirby was not happy with JDJ's effort last spring. Two, sounds like Walker in for a much bigger role, which sounds good to me. I love his attitude and effort.
Three... along with Jalon Walker, Malaki Starks will be the face/leaders of next year's D. What ridiculously talented and mature young men they are... their prep, humility, commitment and focus, along with freakish ability, has the pro scouts already salivating. Go Dawgs!
You are a starting linebacker at the best defense in the country and you choose greener pastures. That won't look good to the NFL. Sorry
He said a lot, but nothing of substance they enlighten me better on the defense. I just say this. At no point this season, I thought the defense set an edge and defended that edge. Not from day one and in the SEC championship game, when we needed a stop, the opponent ran into our weakness on the edge. It was painful to see we still could not solve this issue. When it comes to setting the edge on defense is it scheme or personnel?
