I didn't know Kirby picked up a graduate degree at FSU or elsewhere.

What sort of graduate degree? I'd guess an MBA, but why not look it up? Let's see what I can find in five minutes. Ah, here it is...

Head Coach Kirby Smart has a strong academic background. He was a four-time member of the SEC Academic Honor Roll while playing college football as a starting safety. Kirby earned his bachelor’s degree in Finance from Georgia in 1998. While working as a graduate assistant he also earned a Florida State physical education master degree in 2003.

    Go, Dawgs!

A finance degree is a very solid academic degree, much like accounting. Not for marshmallow athletes.

Looking forward to tonight's game. But I'm also looking forward to SEC teams bonking B10 teams in five -- yes, five! -- other bowl games over the next few days.

Last night's Mizzou win against OSU is the only SEC v. B10 game played so far. Small caveat that the opt-out players could create surprises, But I believe the SEC teams have a chance to win all the remaing games against B10 foes:

    • Ole Miss is the underdog but is a more complete team than Penn State.
    • Auburn is favored over Maryland.
    • LSU will destroy Wisconsin.
    • Tennessee should be able to handle Iowa
    • And I believe Alabama will beat Michigan

After all that talk early in the season about B10 overtaking the SEC, wouldn't it be sweet for the SEC to go 6-0 in SEC-B10 matchups?

Looking for great things from Carson. As noted in the article, alot of pressure off now. Bobo mentioned that they were going to work on the deep balls, also mentioned that the lack of deep ball success was sometimes on the receivers. I think 2023 deep balls would have improved if Ladd had been healthy. A full off-season and more reps throwing to the remaining and new receivers will go a long way. Remember the improvement Joe Burrow made from year 1 to year 2. 2024's schedule looks like we will be in for some exciting games. Clemson, Alabama, Texas and Ole Miss, quite the gauntlet, but I think Kirby will have the Dawgs ready. I don't think 2023's schedule did us any favors. I look forward to the Orange Bowl as a prelude to 2024.

    Go Dawgs
