    Bowers is the obvious choice, no way to ever replace his on and off the field accomplishments. That said, I am excited about our tight end room for years to come. Todd Hartley doing an awesome job with recruiting and coaching.

    @MikeGriffith Just curious as to why you're "somewhat" surprised that Bullard would come out for the draft because he's a probable second-day pick, but you didn't express that same level of surprise for McConkey coming out, who you also say is a likely second-day pick. What's the difference, in your opinion?

    I agree that we will miss these 5 DGDs, the closest to irreplaceable is Bowers. However, our TE group is still one of the best in the nation. All the others will be missed, but I expect their replacements will be very good, possibly even better in some cases. Go Dawgs!

    JBullard doesn't have prototypical NFL size nor speed for the S position. "Second day NFL pick" is his ceiling relative to the NFL draft. Coming back, and risking injury, would unduly jeopardize that.
