Why Kirby Smart turned to a familiar face in James Coley for wide receivers coach opening
ATHENS — Whoever Georgia hired as its wide receivers coach was not going to win a popularity contest. Not when the most popular name on social media was Hines Ward.

Gunna be honest here. Neither of the two new hires are splash hires and I was hoping for different guys but time will tell.
go dawgs!
I'm going to have to trust Kirby on these last two hires. Even if we throw Hines and Terrance out of the equation, there are certainly better candidates out there. As far as this RB coach goes, McClendon started out as a RB coach at UGA, and that didn't go too shabby. I'll take a "wait and see" approach.
Hey Tom Fornelli....add this Dawg Fan to the Oscar Delp Band Wagon....with Ben Yurosek it will be a one two punch with the short pass then yards after contact, both Oscar and Ben excel in yards after contact.....at 6'7" Pierce will be a target on the sidelines and the back of the end zone......with tight coverage on short passes our WR's will have a barn bustin hay day!
I would've been glad to hear Heinz Ward or Terrance Edward as the new receiver's coach, but I have more faith in Kirby's judgment than my own. I'm sure Kirby got the best man for the job.
Just don’t let Coley call a play!
Just feel this was a poor hire. Not sure why he did this.
Kirbys pick! No question or concerns. Was not on board with the popular TE or HW.
